Triumph TR-3

Another car from the Big Bear show. I'm not sure what this one was doing there, since almost every other car was American. When I was young, I bought a car much like this Triumph TR-3. It was in pieces and I brought most of it home in boxes. My mother said she only let me buy it because she was certain it would never run. Ha! Many pieces were missing, but I did get it running. At first, the throttle linkage was made out of erector set parts, but I eventually acquired the correct parts. The most valuable thing I got with the car was the factory shop manual, full of quaint British names for things, like gudgeon pins and gland nuts.
